The Portuguese Conspiracy Eatery & Wine Bar

After a full-on month of exploration around the Vinho Verde region, meeting fabulous producers such has Vasco Croft, from Aphros Wines, and an extensive tour of some of Douro’s leading Producers with Quinta Nova, Conceito and Muxagat, it’s time to embrace the coming of Autumn, and celebrate the coming of our long awaited Wine Bar! We’re now open until 10:30pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays with a growing range of fantastic wines and matching Portuguese Petiscos (Tapas), Cheese and Meat Boards, as well as a carefully rafted selection of tradicional Portuguese recipes. With temperatures gradually cooling down, the menu gets slightly “richer” and warmer. On the wine side, it’s still time for Alvarinho and Vinho Verde (as always), but the chillier evenings, are definitely calling for the warmth of Douro and Alentejo reds. With this in mind we’ve lined up our food and wine specials, to carefully you carry you trough this intricate transition.

Thursday it’s time for Caldeirada de Lulas (Squid Bouillabaisse), on Friday we move “north” with some Rojões á Minhota ( Marinated Soft Pork Loins). Saturday and Sunday, it’s time to celebrate and (forget about the calorie count) with the truly rich and unmistakable Arroz de Pato (Oven Cooked Duck Rice).
