These baskets are produced according to an ancient technique from the beginning of the last century. The production is a very time consuming and tedious process, which is performed by talented local artisans, working only with natural materials such as reed, willow and canvas. Originally, these baskets were made to the farmers to bring meals to the fields or to transport to market purchases. Therefore, they are sturdy and hold a lot. With its cheery colorful patterns the baskets quickly won the heart of the Portuguese people.

These baskets are ideal for picnics, as a hand bag, bicycle basket or simply as a beautiful storage option at home. They are also a special gift.
