An evening of Music, Food and Wine.

Because there’s really nothing like mixing all these three together, we’re back with our fully “hedonistic” format of some of our previous music events. Along with the Peixe’s performance, and Rui Caniço’s Colorau Som Sistema’s soundscaping the evening will be filled with amazing range of Portuguese wines and Petiscos (Tapas) available.

About Pedro Cardoso – “Peixe”

Peixe (Pedro Cardoso), was born in 1974 in Porto, Portugal where he studied guitar at the Conservatory of Music, the superior School of Music and also at the city’s Fine Arts Faculty. He was a member of “Ornatos Violeta”, considered today one of the most relevant Portuguese rock music bands. With Ornatos, he released the albums “Cão!” and “O Monstro Precisa de Amigos”.  He later founded the band Pluto, with whom edited the album “Bom Dia” and the Jazz band DEP with whom edited the album “Esquece Tudo o Que Aprendeste”.

He is also the director of the OGBE  – Electric Guitars and Basses Orchestra, that was created with the support of Casa da Música in Porto and since , he has been actively involved in the making of  soundtracks for theatre plays and cinema as well as experimental music projects such as Zelig, with whom released the album “Joyce Alive”.

Solo album – “Apneia”

In 2012 he released the solo guitar album “Apneia”, an introspective, intricate solo guitar record, whose foundations lie with Pedro’s first live improvisational incursions at “Bordel” a Porto bar where he initially started making his live solo experimentations. Escaping the directness of an “exuberant”  display of Pedro’s virtuosity at the guitar, “Apneia” is a much more a refined exercise of musical narrative and storytelling that will inevitably “grow” on you with every listening as new layers and paths are revealed . Pedro is now preparing a new release “motor” to come out later this year.
