Casa de Mouraz – Fire Relief Crowdfunding Campaign Launch

Sara Dionisio and Antonio Ribeiro, of Casa de Mouraz Winery, are in the process of launching their crowdfunding campaign to enable them to replant their vineyard and rebuild infrastructure following the devastating fires that hit the region last month.
With MAZGANI presenting the new album ‘The Poet’s Death’
Portuguese based Iranian born singer-songwriter Mazgani has kindly offered to support the campaign and showcase his new (just released) fifth record, called The Poet’s Death, through Sony Portugal. So this is a unique, not-to-miss opportunity to listen to Mazgani’s new work first hand! The artwork was done by Londoner Michelle Henning, John Parish’s wife and responsible for PJ Harvey’s artworks amongst others.

October 2017 Fire Relief
Unfortunately, like many others in the region, Sara and Antonio weren’t able to escape the devastating impact of these latest fires. Many of their vineyards, equipment and stock was consumed in the 16th October fire that raged across the Viseu and Tondela region. This has been a difficult time involving considerable loss and difficult consequences. However, we hope that with your help – together with Sara and Antonio’s boundless energy and resilience – we’ll be able to turn things around and make the next 20 years of Casa de Mouraz an even greater success.

Sara and António will be present to tell you all about the project and their wines! This will be a fantastic night with a great performance from Mazgani, Music, petiscos and of course, great wines. All revenue from the tickets and wine bar will revert to the campaign so this is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact while having great fun, join us!
