Harts Pennyroyal Tea (Erva-Peixeira)
With a hot and minty aroma, a tea made from the leaves of these species has traditionally been used in the treatment of fevers, headaches, digestive disorders and various minor ailments. The leaves are harvested as the plant comes into flower and can be dried for later use.
About Cantinho das Aromáticas
Born in 2002 “Cantinho das Aromáticas” is one of the few organic farms in all of Western Europe which are located in the urban space. It has the largest plantation of aromatic and medicinal plants in the country and its production is allocated to pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food industries, with more than 150 different species and varieties of herbs.
The farm is filled with ancient history since it possesses an historic XIVth century farmhouse – Quinta do Paço – where it is believed that D. Pedro and D. Inês de Castro have lived for two years. It is also said that their daughter D. Beatriz was born there.
