Autumn Tastings
It’s not like we don’t like the Autumn (lovely golden leafs, etc..) but let’s face it, it’s not easy saying goodbye to Summer and to effectively cope with this “transition”, we kind of immersed ourselves in a tasting frenzy: We’ll be focusing initially on the Douro region, and Beira Interior, with some fantastic tastings and dinners. Below is a snapshot of the agenda for October and November.

Conceito
Wine Dinner with Sarah Ahmed – 24th October – 7:00pm
Sarah Ahmed is one of the most relevant (if not the leading) UK specialist in Portuguese wine. Her knowledge of Portugal’s winemaking territory, producers, field research and in-depth knowledge of the wines are second to none so, when the Douro producer series came to be (as a concept), Sarah, quickly came to mind as the obvious choice to present us the wonderful wines of Rita Marques, the woman behind Conceito Vinhos.
Beira Interior
Portugal Wine Regions – 29th October – 6:30pm/8:00pm
Although the Beira Interior wine region doesn’t enjoy the notoriety perks, and “glamour” of the Douro, the landscape, people and wines from the Beira Interior are equally amazing and diverse, and the wines form Beyra (Rui Madeira) and Quinta dos Currais are here to prove it. We will be guided by the gracious hands, and in-depth knowledge of two illustrious Portuguese wine specialists – Raymond Reynolds, introducing the a full range of wines from Rui Madeira’s Beyra, and Miguel Leal will be showing us the wonderful Quinta dos currais range.
Quinta Nova
Douro Producer Series – 30th October – 7:00pm/9:00pm
At the very heart of the dazzling Douro landscape, in the Cima Corgo (sub-region), the Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo project builds on a centuries long heritage of the estate (since 1756), with a fresh, new, and dynamic take on the properties potential to create extraordinary wines. The tasting will be covering the QN’s full range of still wines, as well as their beautiful Clã Reserve Port, Moscatel and Quinta Nova LBV Port.
Vintage Nights
6th November – 7:30pm/10:30pm
With so many types, styles and brands of Port out there, most often than not at hefty prices, it’s difficult to know where and how to start! That’s why we created “Vintage Nights” : A fun, easy and affordable way to enjoy Port, Madeira and other delicious gems from Portugal.
